Still is a personal journal. You can write, check in with a feeling, and use its breathing sessions without creating an account.
Your writing and preferences
Your journal pages, mood check-ins, feelings, and notes are stored on your device. Still also saves your preferences, such as your optional name, your chosen character, and your app-lock setting. Still does not send any of this to the developer, an analytics service, or an AI service. Your Apple device backup settings may include app data.
Home Screen widgets
Still shares today’s mood rating and the number of pages you have written with its own widget extension on your device. Journal text and feeling notes are never shared with widgets. Widget information can be visible to anyone who can see your Home Screen, and turning on the app lock does not hide it. Remove the widgets if you would rather they were not visible there.
App lock
If you turn on the app lock, Still asks Apple’s authentication system to confirm it is you, using Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode. Still never receives your face, fingerprint, or passcode.
Exports and backups
You choose when to export your writing or save a backup, and where the file goes. A file you save to a cloud provider or send through another app is then handled by that provider or app. Still backup files are not separately encrypted, so anyone who obtains one may be able to read it. Keep exports and backups somewhere you trust.
Still has no account-based cloud sync and makes no automatic server backup.
No accounts, purchases, ads, or analytics
Still does not ask you to create an account or provide your name or email to use its features. This version has no in-app purchases or subscriptions, no advertising SDKs, no request for an advertising identifier, and no analytics SDK. It does not track you across other apps or websites.
Your choices
You can delete individual journal pages and feeling check-ins in the app. Removing Still from your device removes its local data. Copies you exported, backups you saved, and copies held by a storage provider are separate and must be managed by you.
If you contact support, the information you choose to provide is used to respond to your request. Avoid including private journal entries unless you want to share them for that purpose.
